The world is full of pathways and the choices are numberless. There are some that seem attractive and desirable but eventually lead to darkness and despair. Other pathways can draw us into a comfortable existence but then our progress stops. There are the tempting choices that appeal to our physical desires that can bring personal hardships, destroying families and individuals. All is not lost. He who loves us most is there to light our path through the darkness. He can be our personal guide as we seek to find peace in this troubled world. Fear not, for His pathways are straight and His light an eternal beacon of hope. He offers a peace that will surpass all understanding. No matter how desperate, lost, alone or afraid you may feel, Our Savior Jesus Christ is there to help. All you need to do is ask.

Path to Forgiveness

Each of our personal journeys is different as we seek forgiveness from human errors and peace in our hearts once again. Everyone’s experience is different but the pathway leading to the road of repentance requires the same journey. When our hearts are ready, there is a longing for the joy we have lost. When it develops into a hunger our souls cry out.  We understand there are errors in our ways. We have stumbled and fallen but to stand tall and straight we need divine help. Humbly we seek out the Lord in prayer. We have pondered and repented and feel ready. We seek solitude, where no earthly influence will be allowed to disturb our communications. We express our appreciation for the blessings in our lives. Then we pour out our heart unto the Lord expressing remorse and regret, asking for strength to let go that which is harmful to us, for forgiveness of our errors as we seek to travel the strait and narrow path that will lead us home. Everyone’s journey back requires faith, courage and belief in self. The greatest of which is faith.  There was a strong prophet in ancient times who was out hunting, intending to bring food home to his family. While alone in the wilderness the teachings of his father came into his heart and he desired again the joys he once felt, to have peace unto his soul. Mighty prayers were offered as he communed with heaven and even when darkness came he prayed on. Finally, after much prayer the Lord told him his sins were forgive. When he asked how it was done he was answered, “Thy faith has made thee whole." I hope each of us will hold tight to our faith and in so doing allow the gift of the atonement to heal our souls.

Pathways & Choices

When you look at the picture at the top of this blog, what does it bring to mind?

For me if represents my journey through life, the options are many but the results greatly vary...

What direction will I take?
What is my reasoning?
What light am I choosing to follow?
What is around the bend?
Where will these paths ultimately take me?
Are the lights a solid strength or the glitzy invitations of the world?

Questions and more questions how can I ever know what is right?

The struggle to make important decisions effects all of us and sometimes we waiver, because we are unsure. But we are not alone. The Lord Jesus Christ has brought the world the gift of Holy Ghost. When our hearts are open and our minds prayerful the Holy Ghost can guide and direct our paths as we listen with spiritual ears. A wise prophet once taught …”And by the power of the Holy Ghost you may know the truth of all things.” A rich resource to guide our indecision.

There comes a time in life when silence is NOT golden…

The decades have past, seasons flashing by in a mere instant. I’ve feel catapulted forward into foreign lands, or so it seems.

Gone are the days when businesses were closed on Sundays and most folks went to church. Where we learned the teachings of Jesus Christ, love your neighbor, be kind to those that despitefully use you, forgive others, to love God, to keep the commandments.  These simple acts have great power to change individuals, groups and nations. The United States of America was founded on these Christian principles, but evil has flooded our country.

Good is often talked about as if evil and evil is promoted as good. It has polluted the world, masked as the pride, selfishness, and greed that surges in the hearts of men.

I am but one small voice but I can remain silent no longer!  I will live what I believe.  “I will not go quietly into the night. I will not vanish without a fight. I will live on. I will survive. I will celebrate the Millennium Day!”
